Root Health Acupuncture & Chinese Herbs - ks@roothealthclinic.com

I (Kameron Schott) grew up in the beautiful rural setting of northern Idaho. Its rugged landscape instilled in me my original fascination with nature and its patterns. I was also exposed to the values of holistic and preventative medicine at a young age while living in Germany. There, so-called “alternative” modalities were a standard and respected piece of the healthcare landscape.
Fast forward back to the States, I got a degree in psychology and worked as a certified counselor and wilderness guide for a residential treatment program. This job regularly took me on month-long backpacking trips in wild landscapes. Living so close to the earth, intimately experiencing its natural cycles, drove home the Chinese saying, “as above, so below.” This means that all the patterns found in the natural world are also constantly at work within us. What we see in the macrocosm is reflected in the microcosm.
I practice acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine because it works with and respects these basic tenants. As holds true in nature, our systems tend towards balance, i.e. homeostasis, and hold great innate wisdom. Each of us holds within the power to feel healthier and more balanced. Each of us is whole.
I am excited to once again live on the Palouse and provide holistic, natural healthcare in the form of acupuncture to this great community! When I’m not working with needles, you can find me honing my culinary skills, hanging out with my dog or hanging off of rocks at the local crags.
