After Jessica had three littles, she soon awakened to the fact that in our culture there is a large disconnect between birth and postpartum. Through her birth and postpartum experiences she was inspired to help other women and families navigate this challenging yet amazing time in life. Jessica is a licensed nurse with training in Ayurveda Postpartum care and Birth/Postpartum Doula training through Mountain Midwives in Billings, MT. She has worked as a Midwife Assistant, trained in Rebozo labor support, and certified as a Lactation Educator. She has a deep interest in ancient traditional cultures as well as nutritional and herbal wellness, especially those surrounding motherhood. Jessica is excited to be apart of your journey!
After experiencing the powerful impact of doula care during the birth of her own daughter, Rebecca felt called to support other families in the birthing process and to celebrate their transformation as they welcome new persons into their lives. Owner and operator of Palouse Women’s Wellness, Rebecca has supported more than 25 clients as a birth and postpartum doula. After attending a DONA Birth Doula training workshop in July 2017 and completing an apprenticeship with Palouse Women’s Wellness founders Laurel Bake and Marci Miller, Rebecca continuously strives to educate herself so she can offer her clients the most accurate, effective, and compassionate care. Rebecca’s greatest joy comes from empowering partners and family members to support their loved ones with confidence.
Mariah is new to the birth community. Currently, she is training with DONA International for doula certification. Her passion for birth and pregnancy comes from her desire to know what her options are when she becomes a mother. Sharing knowledge, increasing awareness, and bridging the gaps in our current birth culture is what she's striving towards. God put this work on her heart and has called her to serve other women through advocacy and education. She's looking forward to serving families of the Palouse as a birth doula.
