Our Mission
The mission of the Uma Center is to strengthen and empower parents on the Palouse. We do this by supporting local practitioners who offer pregnancy and labor services, education, support groups, and other wellness services. We believe that it takes a village to raise children and that all parents, new and experienced, need support. Strong and healthy parents raise strong and healthy children.
Who We Are Today
We opened our doors in November of 2013 as the newly remodeled Uma Center. We are a collective of independent practitioners who specialize in various aspects of women's health, pregnancy and childbirth, and parenting. In addition to being the professional home to several businesses, our large first-floor teaching space allows us to host classes, workshops, support groups and other community events that benefit women and their families.
